Revision on the new plan

I slept on it, and I just can't give up the idea of having DH's baby. We are going to try IVF once and then move on to DIUI. This way we have given our own genetics a try. When I told DH my thoughts this morning he said he felt the same way. So sorry folks, put the breaks on. We will not be cycling in December. Hopefully we will have the money saved by Jan-Feb, maybe March. We did some strict budgeting and we should be able to have the rest of what we need by then, plus the cushion DH requires to move forward. I guess my posting last night was a bit premature.

  3. um, so obviously I read my google reader from the oldest post to the newest- b/c 10 minutes ago I am sure you will see the comment saying YEAH!! :) LOL! I think this is a great idea to. As the female part of some MFI I can understand not at least trying to have your husbands baby. There would be that what-if. As always- as long as you both are comfortable with the decision it is going to be the right one.

We are here for you to bounce all your ideas off of. :)

  4. Hey, at least you're both on the same page, and the time-frame is not so far out. You've got to be comfortable with whichever route you take. Best of luck scrimping and saving!

  6. We'll be doing IVF together! Well, not together, but at the same time! I'd be happy to share any fundraising ideas or thoughts your way if it would be helpful. We're working with our RE's practice right now to look at the shared risk programs and a program from IntegraMed. I'm open to looking at all of the options. Even having a bake sale...haha...although I might eat it all before selling it, but whatever. :-D Don't give up hope!!!

  12. I think that anything you do together, with a unified heart will be a good idea. Now relax and enjoy a few months off the IF train and have some fun with your husband!

Oh, and have you considered mini-ivf? It's supposed to be much cheaper, produces fewer but higher quality eggs.

  13. I get it hon - you are in the same spot we are in - I had to try just one last shot with Murrays sperm, so that I felt comfortable with moving on.

  15. Sounds like you have a solid plan, especially in light of the fact that none of this what we had in mind. Making a baby should be a lot more fun.
