What would you like?

DH asked me last night what I wanted for Christmas. I told him all I want is to meet our saving requirement so we can get this baby making show on the road. I wish I could send out a mass email to our family and say, "This year for Christmas please do not give us gifts. We would prefer cold hard cash. Please and thank you." Tacky?? Um, yes. Just a bit. Ok, maybe a lot! Even if it was only $20, I would rather put that into our savings than some ugly fleece vest my grandmother felt I had to have. Oh well. At least I can tell DH not to buy me anything. I think it may also help us remember the true meaning of Christmas.
What are you asking for for Christmas?

  1. OMG...you read my mind. My mom, who knows what we're dealing with, keeps asking me what we want for Christmas. I just want to say...er, SCREAM...that she already knows what we want, if she wasn't so determined to only get us "things." Wish it wasn't so difficult to just say that nicely!

  2. Yeah, if only you could be that upfront with family! If all of your family already knew that you were trying to do fertility treatments, that might work, but otherwise it would probably just be awkward.

  3. Deep down, all I'm asking for is a BFP and a healthy baby next August. But as far as a gift, I'm asking for a pasta maker mixer attachment ;-)

  4. Haha, me too! I just want the cash for our baby bucks fund! But since I can't ask for that... I don't know. I'm not expecting anything big.

  6. I really had to dig deep to come up with a Christmas list for my MIL who practically hounded me to death, there honestly isn't anything I want or need except to be pregnant! I just know I'm going to end up with a bunch of country style Christmas crafts and long pajamas just like every other year.

  7. I'm with you. All I want for Christmas is to be pregnant. That's it!! But Im trying to focus on how much I love the holiday season and seeing my family all together and appreciate what I have, and have faith this will all end happily. Sigh.

    Oh, and I kind of want a Tom-Tom as I'm directionally-challenged.
