I need some advice, after an ET how long should you be on bed rest? My RE recommends at least 24 hrs. I was thinking more along the lines of 48 hrs. We are doing a 3dt so I think I need longer than a 5dt. I don't know. I want to be as careful as possible. I think most of us would stay in bed a week if we knew we would get a BFP at the end of a cycle. So ladies, what did you do?
On another note I cannot stop smiling. That was my FB status update today. I am so ready to do this. It is going to work! I love happy thoughts!
YAY!! Keep that positivity going!!!!! I really really think you are going to get your BFP in two weeks!!!
ReplyDeleteI did bed rest for only 24 hours but I did a day 5 transfer. I think you might be right in trusting your instincts and staying down a little bit longer.
Sending all the positive energy I can!!!!!!!! XOX
I can feel your energy and enthusiasm through the computer!
ReplyDeleteHope is all we've got. If we lose that, then what's the point?
I don't know much about IVF and bedrest after FET, but I have read numerous times that eating lots of pinnaple is suppose to help with implantation. Sounds silly to me, so take it for what it's worth.
I will be thinking of you!!
I took it easy for a couple days (5dt) but didn't do bedrest. Even walked the few blocks home from the ET. Do whatever makes you feel happy and in control, because I doubt it has any effect.
ReplyDeleteI say the longer the better! I always did at least 48 hours and with my 5th IVF cycle (the successful one) I had the day 5 transfer on a Tuesday morning and I didn't do anything until I got up for work Friday morning. It may sound excessive, but it was the one that worked for us (I'm sure a doctor would say bedrest had nothing to do with it). And with a day 3, I agree that longer is better. I'm not saying stay home for a week or anything, but a few days can't hurt, right?
ReplyDeleteHey, thanks for your comment on my blog. Sounds like we have a lot in common besides the FET on Monday -- we're severe male factor as well and have been trying for five years.
ReplyDeleteWow, I am blown away that you had 17 embryos from your IVF cycle. Here's hoping Monday is our lucky day!
I did a 3 day transfer & like you I felt it was important to do the bed rest thing a little longer than recommended so I went with the 48hrs & also took it really easy the third day. So excited for you & glad your in such a positive place:)
ReplyDeletePraying so hard for you! To be honest we dont really do bedrest here in Australia, but do whatever you feel you should do okay xx
ReplyDeleteI think 2-3 days is best, at least that's what I heard. It's perfect timing for a long weekend. Hope all is well and your resting away!!!
ReplyDeleteSending positive vibes your way.
ReplyDeleteA great positive attitude! Wishing you all the best.
ReplyDeleteI hope all goes well today for your transfer! I always stay on bedrest for at least 2-3 days after transfer. Good luck with the appt!!
